5d Mark II

So after years of debating... I have finally switched to canon. After months of contemplating I decided on the 5d Mark II. I have to say I am beyond thrilled for my new set up. I'm still figuring a ton of stuff out, But I am beyond excited to start this years wedding season with the camera and lenses I decided on. I've spent the past few days shooting photo & video & this is what i've come up with...

Family

Today I came in to our family room and found everyone was napping on their day off. So i took the opportunity to snap some photos of my parents & our dogs Milly & Oscar (milly was sleeping under the blankets with my parents). It was a pretty adorable site, and great lighting.

Kassy

My friend Kassy Shoemaker promised to illustrate a camera for me. Kassy & I have not been friends for very long but she is by far one of the best friends I have ever had. She's one of very few people I really REALLY love to hang out with. She "gets the jokes" & understands driving the importance of driving a little further for a better salad/sushi . She had asked for a photo of my favorite camera and i sent her one. I picked my first 35mm slr camera. I bought it in 10th grade with my birthday money, for my fir

st photography class. It's been everywhere with me, and through several lenses but it still works great. When Kassy sent me the images she made for me last night I couldn't stop looking at them. She is by far one of the most creative/talented people I have ever met. I couldn't begin to thank her enough for taking the time to create such a beautiful image for me, Especially not in a blog post.

Business Cards!

Today I recieved my stamp in the mail from love to create stamps, I couldn't have asked for anything better. So once i got home my mom and i headed out to get some ink and ribbon. Only people crazy enough to spend 70.00 on stamp stuff and ribbon. So we got home and got to work.

We spent about 4 hours working on them and only made about 100, but so far so good. Anyone who knows my mom knows that she has been my number one fan/supporter. I couldn't ask for a better mom ever, she's helped me get myself together for the past few months more then anyone could ever know, & I don't think i could thank her enough.

Big News !

So Last week I found out i was accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association & The Artistic Guild Of The Wedding Photojournalists Association.

I couldn't be more excited or honored to be accepted into such fantastic associations. This is something I have been preparing for, for the past 2 years since I first discovered them.

Also I am working on creating a portrait portfolio on my website! So if anyone is bored this week and would like some portraits of them let me know!

I just wanted to share the great news with everyone!
