Mini Apple Pies

Mario and I decided to make apple pie one fall afternoon. We (he) ended up making these tiny apple pies in tart pans as well as a big pie. They came out fabulous. I found the photos today and decided to re-edit them. So here are a few of my favorites.

A few months ago Jeff & I shot a Emily and Matt Baldwins wedding was at the Montauk Yacht Club in Montauk New York. It was the perfect day to get married, and everything was absolutely gorgeous. The flowers however were beyond gorgeous. The flowers Emily and Matt chose for their special day were by far the most beautiful floral arrangements I have ever seen.

They were done by Karen Lenahan Floral & Event Design. I don't really have any more words to even describe these flowers so i thought i would share them with you all. Hope you enjoy!

First Snow

So last weekend was the first time it snowed this year. I was home and so were my parents. I had rented the 70-200mm lens so i decided to take full advantage. My father started the day off on a frustrated note with untangling the christmas lights. Followed by decorating outside. Finally we wrapped the gifts we already had and decorated the tree.

For the past year and a half i've been working for Jeff. I've learned more about photography in that time then i have in maybe 6 years of school. Beyond that he's become one of my best friends. Yesterday I took him to the airport for his two month trip to China. It's sad to have to say good bye to one of your bestfriends for that long. So i decided to make todays post for him.

I took this Photo a few months ago when we went into the city to teach some clients basic photography stuff. It was a pretty awesome day, they were filming a movie in time square with Steve Carell, so they had sprayed the street with water and had it closed off. It was great.

So I'm going to keep up posting some of my favorite photo's and talking a little bit about them.

I took this photo of mario one afternoon in August in his van. He asked me to come help him clean it before Colony went out to "gig" one weekend. Needless to say we made a bigger mess then was already there. Anyone who knows me knows I love shooting Mario in that van as much as he loves the van. Mario bought the van as a graduation gift to himself so his band could tour in it. I don't think most people could even come close to imagining the things, people, and places this van has seen, carried or been to. It moved me to Syracuse and back, and I'm sure it will continue to see much more.

I never really discuss....

I've been posting on here on and off for a little over a year now, and i never discuss any of my photos or talk about them. I decided to change that. I don't have anything new to post or talk about, but last night i changed my desktop to a photo that i really really love. It was taken last year when i lived in syracuse during the first of many snow falls i would experience up there. This time last year I lived with two of my best friends who I have been missing a little bit extra these past few weeks. So i was laying in bed trying to think of what i could say about this photo and i had a really hard time getting past thinking about the content and what it means to me, rather then actually discussing the photo its self.

This Photo was taken with my Nikon D70 and my settings were iso 1600, f 2.8, 1/60 of a second. I always learned in high school in any situations never to shoot below 1/60, anything less then that would allow your camera to pick up any blur. I've taken that advice to the next level and I've only shot with flash a handful of times. I have been in countless situations where i could benefit from flash but i've been in plenty more where I was better off without.
